Hi! My name is Miss Rachel…

I have had the pleasure of teaching dance in the Lawrence, KS area for since 2012 and created my own studio, Sunflower State Dance in 2015. My greatest passion is teaching kids of all ages, especially preschool aged children! My favorite thing about teaching preschoolers is that we LAUGH just as much as we LEARN, which is just one of the reason why I founded Sunflower Sprouts a mobile creative movement program by Sunflower State Dance. One of my main goals in creating this program is to help enrich the learning process through movement, music, imagination, all in one convenient spot for parents… your child’s school!

When I am not teaching I enjoy exploring Lawrence, taking care of my house plants, and getting to visit family or have family and friends visit me. I am a big sister through Big Brothers Big Sisters and have a rescue dog named Cricket and a cat named Scooter!
